mini update - RIP Fosh

ok I'm eventually going to get around to writing a nice good, worthwhile post here about wedding and AC and other stuff... but for now here's a quick update.

My website is now kimbuck . ca, cuz I gots marrieded and stuff so it's diff.

My birthday was July 4th and I'm 23 now! Geoff's parents got me this AMAZING animal anatomy book... gosh it's amazing... i've been going to chapters for a few years now and oogling over it but never having a budget to get it.. but nowww it'ssss miiinnne! I'm excited to draw from it. It even has like rhino and giraffe musclature.

And I just found out today that my 5 year old calico Ryukin goldfish, Fosh, died today. My mom's been looking after him because we moved out and only this week we finally had a chance to get a tank ready for them to move to, and he's been ill since before the wedding... I feel so guilty that it's my fault for not taking them to our new house sooner. My mom did a lot to try and save him but it didn't work. He was such a beautiful fish, and when I got him my life just turned around and I met Geoff and everything good happened to me all at once... now that's he's gone it feels like there's an empty spot in my heart. I'll definately post a pic of him this weekend, he deserves that at least.

anyway, I'll make that big, happier post next time - hope you are well.

I got a really good how-to sketch manga book a few days ago, so I know how good it feels to take all the drawing information in xD

I just had several of my fish die, and then I had to euthanize two others with baking soda. I feel your pain. I would be similarily upset were my Bill to die. Pokey, he was three or four, he died recently. It was really so sad. I was so upset. He was blind too, and it just was like he'd been through everything and then ow. I know people are all like "It's just a fish" and I'm all "well you're just a jerk, so should I ignore you too?" but... what people don't realize is that they're little constants that are always there, especially goldfish who live so long. *hoggles*

And geeze... I'm older than you. I am starting to think that I'm older than everyone I know. >.>

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about Fosh. :( Don't feel guilty though - you did what you could for him and did more then what most people would when it comes to owning fish.

I'm so sorry to hear about Fosh hun..

but whats very strange about your story is that he seemed like a portent... I know I've had objects and animals who have acted in the same manner... when they first come into your life, everything seems to change, you get luckier, you have more focus, you have an epiphany and you change your life... and once youve completed a task, the object/animal no longer needs to be in your presence and they leave, whether from your house or from life.

It sounds sort of like Fosh was one of those things- your very lucky to have had him ^^

I'm sorry about Fosh. He knew that his Grammy and his Mommy loved him lots and he prolly didn't want to go. But now that you are married he knows you are being well taken care of and happy. Don't let his passing make you sad. :heart:

I lost two of my fish in like... a month. I know the pain. =( :glomp: Feel better. :heart:

im sorry to hear about fosh :hug: i know what it feels like to lose a pet that is close to you, it happened to my iguana called kevin, i had him for 15 years and he had to be put to sleep coz he had kidney failure, he looked at me when i burst into tears. they put the needle straight into his heart, it was horrible. :tears:

Oh my gosh no... that just made me tear up.. wow, that's really something I definitely believe in now that he's been in my life and you say that. That they leave once you've completed a task... wow. You have no idea how much sense that makes to me and that makes me feel SO much better somehow. Thank you SO much for telling me this - it really means a lot. ♥♥♥
